By accessing or using the Directorate of Tourist Services (DTS) online registration platform, you agree to abide by the following Terms and Conditions. These terms govern the use of our digital services for licensing and certification of tour operators, hotels, campsites, and tour guides.

1. General Terms

1.1 Eligibility

This platform is open to all individuals and entities intending to operate in the tourism sector of Gilgit-Baltistan, including tour operators, hotels, guest houses, camping sites, and tour guides.

1.2 Accuracy of Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. Submission of false or misleading information may result in rejection, suspension, or revocation of licenses.

1.3 Updates and Communication

You consent to receive official communications, including reminders for renewals and policy updates, via email or mobile contact details provided during registration.

2. Licensing Categories

2.1 Tour Operators

Comprehensive licensing for companies managing group travel, expeditions, and adventure tourism. Includes:

Mountaineering Permits: Required for peaks above 6,000 meters
Trekking Permits: Required for restricted and protected areas
Processing Time: 3–14 business days
Validity: 1 year (renewable)

2.2 Hotels & Camping Sites

Licensing covers all types of accommodation facilities including hotels, motels, guesthouses, and campsites. Compliance with local health, safety, and service standards is required.

2.3 Tour Guides

Individual registration and certification for tour guides operating in Gilgit-Baltistan. Proof of training, local knowledge, and language proficiency may be required.

3. Core Platform Features

3.1 Registration

All licensing applications must be submitted online through the DTS portal. Supporting documents must be uploaded in the prescribed format.

3.2 Renewal

Licenses are valid for one year and can be renewed online. Automated reminders will be sent before expiration.

3.3 Online Payments

GB Pay Exclusive

All payments must be made exclusively through GB Pay, the official and secure digital payment gateway of the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan. No other payment methods will be accepted. A digital receipt will be issued upon successful payment.

3.4 Government Certification

Upon successful approval, applicants will receive digitally signed and officially recognized certificates issued by DTS.

4. Compliance and Revocation

License holders must comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and service standards issued by the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan.

DTS reserves the right to suspend or revoke licenses in case of any violation of these terms or submission of fraudulent data.

Periodic inspections may be conducted to ensure compliance.

5. Data Privacy

All personal and organizational data collected during registration and licensing will be kept confidential and protected in line with the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan’s data protection policies. DTS will never share your information without consent, except as required by law.

6. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from licensing decisions or use of this platform will fall under the jurisdiction of the competent authorities in Gilgit-Baltistan.
